Hi I’m Emma, Website Editor, Administrator and DJ.
Here at Happy Sounds Mobile Disco we are very open minded and are part of the LGBTQ+ Community.
Before my transition Belinda and I already had a long history of acceptance, not just for the LGBTQ+ community but for everyone no matter who they are or where they are from.
I have a long history of DJing, Particularly in the Wedding Sector (albeit before my transition)
Being Trans, I actively support my Local and wider LGBTQ+ communities by DJing LGBTQ+ Weddings and other events such as Pride. I have also enjoyed Providing Audio and Lighting Tech support for some LGBTQ+ “grass roots” performances.
Transition is a journey, I still have some way to go and that can be said for my voice which is ‘androgenous’ and to some people it may not align with how i look. (Voice training is ongoing)
I’d like to remind everyone who books us, you are booking a DJ, not an MC.
Note: I am not a silent DJ who playlists music, I am vocal on the microphone, I bring warmth, happiness and love to the room through my voice and the music i play.
For Wedding bookings, Belinda and i will personally meet you both to discuss the music and event timeline so we are all on the same page.
I want you to feel safe around us. Our team will NOT tolerate any hate or discrimination and we will call it out (Publically) if directed at us or you our clients.
