LGBTQ+ Because Love is Love
Hi I’m Emma, Website Editor, Administrator and DJ.
The whole team here at Happy Sounds Mobile Disco are very open minded and actively support the LGBTQ+ Community.
Before i joined, Dave & Belinda already had a long history of acceptance and have DJ’d countless Same Sex/Gender Weddings Which finally became legal in England/Wales in 2014.
While relatively new to the Team, i also have a long history of DJing, Particularly in the Wedding Sector (albeit before my transition)
Being Trans, I actively support my Local and wider LGBTQ+ communities by DJing LGBTQ+ Weddings and other events such as Pride. I have also enjoyed Providing Audio and Lighting Tech support for some LGBTQ+ “grass roots” performances.
Transition is a journey, I still have some way to go and that can be said for my voice which doesn’t yet align with how i look. (Voice training is ongoing)
So if you wish to book me for an event, I will assume you and guests at your event are just as accepting and my voice won’t be an issue.
Note: I am not a silent DJ who playlists music, I am vocal on the microphone, I bring warmth, happiness and love to the room through my voice and the music i play.
For Wedding bookings, Whether thats me or Dave & Belinda, we will personally meet you to discuss the music and event timeline so we are all on the same page.
Note: Due to the political climate and the way the Trans community are being portayed in the media, I have chosen to not DJ child/teen events.
I will leave those events to Dave & Belinda.
I want you to feel safe around us. Our team will NOT tolerate any hate or discrimination and we will call it out (Publically) if directed at any of our team or you our clients.
